Q&A with Dave
Q: Why did you make the decision to join Montage?
A: What truly excites me is working with early stage software companies that have built cutting edge technology that is truly capable of changing the way an industry does business. Being able to contribute my financial expertise to a talented and committed leadership team, while working with leading financial investors, is also very important to me. Montage easily has all of these characteristics. The video interviewing software platform that we have built is mature, tested, rapidly gaining acceptance and changing the way that many global talent acquisition departments are operating. The Montage leadership team has significant experience in the software and talent acquisition sectors and is driven to not only drive meaningful ROI for our clients, but also make them more efficient. Finally, we have solid financial partners that are in full alignment with our leadership team and realize the strategic difference that the Montage platform can deliver to clients.
Q:What did you think about Montage's hiring process?
A: Prior to joining Montage, I had never participated in a video interview before, so I was very curious as to what role it would play in the process. One use and I was hooked. The process quickly dispelled my naïve thought that it would be very similar to other streaming video services that I had used in the past. Via video interview and in-person interviews, I was given the opportunity to meet the senior leadership team and other members of the organization. I was also able to meet with multiple board members and investors, which was important due to my specific role in the company. All of these meetings allowed me to understand the complete candidate experience through Montage’s own hiring process and the use of the video interviewing technology. It allowed me to get a true sense of the company culture and what it would be like to be part of the team. Another unique aspect to me was, through the use of video interview technology, it felt like you really knew people prior to the in-person interview stage and actually starting work. I believe that not only improves the candidate experience, but speeds up the onboarding process as well.
Q. What are you most looking forward to now that you are part of the Montage team?
A: Montage is passionate about solving client problems and significantly increasing client productivity in all areas surrounding talent acquisition. With our purpose-built video interviewing technology platform, our ultimate goal is to transform the hiring process for global organizations. We are still in the very early stages of adoption for this technology, but it is clearly accelerating. I am thrilled to have a front row seat to watch as Montage works to make the entire talent acquisition industry more efficient.
