Agility's the Key for Large-Enterprise Hiring in 2017

Based on what we’re seeing and hearing from our clients, 2017 will be a year focused on increasing hiring agility within large enterprise organizations. A wide range of factors are driving this trend. For those in industries like healthcare and finance, continued M&A activities create urgent needs to integrate and re-align workforces across multiple locations. The challenge for global service and manufacturing organizations is being able to anticipate and respond to swiftly-changing markets. And, as new technologies emerge, many of our clients must hire new talent quickly to stay competitive.

At Montage, we continue to enhance our software with an eye toward where our clients are headed as well as our vision for the future of video interviewing. Here’s where we think our market-leading technology will help Fortune 500s and the Global 2000 increase their agility this year:

Ramping Up the Mobile Experience

In this candidate-driven market, TA teams need to sync with candidate job-search behaviors, and that means ramping up their mobile experience. In 2016, more than 30% of our interview traffic came through a mobile device, and we expect that to increase this year. Five years after Montage introduced the world’s first mobile live video interviewing application for iOS (Apple) and Android devices, we continue to lead the market with enhancements to our mobile capabilities. Our ongoing aim is a more streamlined mobile experience that escalates levels of candidate engagement.

Giving Recruiters More Time for Branding and Engagement

Montage made strides in 2016 with its pioneering scheduling capability, which automates interview scheduling and puts more control in the hands of candidates. With a single email or broadcast text message, recruiters can invite all candidates in a talent pool of any size to complete an on-demand video or voice interview. Our data shows that across all clients, three of every four candidates invited will move forward with scheduling an interview.

Last year’s change from a simple scheduling function to an Event Manager function addressed the needs of Fortune 500s and the Global 2000 to drive and manage large recruiting-related events. We believe clients will continue to expand their use of Event Manager for a simple yet critical reason: Automated scheduling frees recruiters to spend more time building employer brand awareness and engaging with candidates. When an urgent hiring need arises, recruiters will have their talent pipelines ready to go.

Facilitating Easier Collaboration in Hiring

With the increasing importance of recruiter-hiring manager collaboration, Montage’s software makes it easier and more convenient for recruiters and hiring managers to work closely together at every step of the hiring process. Recruiters are currently using Montage’s tech to:

  • Communicate more with their hiring managers to better understand their needs and provide quality service;
  • Involve hiring managers earlier and more frequently in the process without taking up too much of their time; and
  • Move hiring along faster through a more streamlined process.

2017 promises to be an exciting year as we work with companies of all sizes toward goals of greater agility in hiring and an exceptional candidate experience. If you’d like to explore the potential of video interviewing to transform your hiring, contact us today for a live demonstration.
